Article 1 – Identity

Client
The natural person or legal entity that enters into an agreement with the service provider

Services
All interpreting, translation and related activities performed by the service provider

Agreement
The agreement between the service provider and the client regarding the provision of services

Article 2 – Applicability

These general terms and conditions apply to all quotations, offers, assignments, and agreements of the service provider.
Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if agreed upon in writing.
The Client's general terms and conditions are expressly excluded.

Article 3 – Formation of the agreement

An order is concluded after written or electronic confirmation by the service provider.
Oral agreements are only binding after written confirmation.
The service provider reserves the right to refuse an assignment.

Article 4 – Quotations and rates

Quotations are without obligation, unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are valid for fourteen (14) days
Rates are in euros and exclude VAT.
Any additional costs will be communicated in advance.

Article 5 – Performance of the services

Assignments are executed to the best of our knowledge and craftsmanship.
Interpreting services adhere to the applicable code of conduct for sworn interpreters.
Translations are carried out with attention to context and terminology.
The Client provides all necessary information in a timely manner.

Article 6 – Confidentiality

The Service Provider is bound to strict confidentiality
Confidentiality applies during and after the termination of the agreement.
Information is used exclusively for the execution of the assignment

Article 7 – Payment

Payment within fourteen (14) days after invoice date
In the event of late payment, the Client is automatically in default.
Statutory interest and collection costs may be charged.
Prepayment may be required for private assignments.

Article 8 – Cancellation and changes

Cancellation must be reported in writing as soon as possible.
Cancellation within 24 hours prior to the start may be charged in full.
Changes may lead to adjusted rates and scheduling.

Article 9 – Force Majeure

Force majeure concerns circumstances beyond the control of the service provider
Obligations are suspended during force majeure.
In the event of force majeure lasting longer than two months, the agreement may be terminated.

Article 10 – Complaints

Complaints must be reported in writing within ten (10) working days
Complaints do not suspend the payment obligation.

Article 11 – Liability

Liability applies exclusively in cases of intent or gross negligence.
Liability is limited to the invoice amount excluding VAT.
No liability for consequential or indirect damages

Article 12 – Intellectual property

Translations remain the property of the service provider until full payment.
Upon payment, the Client acquires the right of use.

Article 13 – Applicable law and disputes

Dutch law applies to all agreements.
Disputes shall be submitted to the competent Dutch court.
